RHD has been in the springs manufacturing business since 1952. At the beginning, it was just a little family firm that has only 15 employees. In 1989, the son of the founder Serge Huon, and the director José Dubois went in partnership and changed the history of springs’ design and creation. Nowadays, the firm has 100 professional and skilled employees and has its factory in the northwest of Paris. The computer controlled production process, the mastering of the springs’ use and the technological development of industrial needs, added to more than 60 years of experience have made RHD one of the main actor in spring steel manufacturing and as a supplier.
RHD can offer its customers the option of pre-assembly on machine during production in order to shorten the assembly stages and achieve productivity improvements. We are also able to assemble our part with a part supplied by the customer.
Our route since 1952 is based on the excellence which contributed to raise our reputation both on the French market and at the world level. The fame of RHD group is not any more to be proved in this “sharp" domain, because it evolves in it and is a spring steel supplier since more than half a century.
The strategy of the group relies on a policy of continuous investment, the implementation of state-of-the-art production tools – solutions computerized mainly-, a thoughtful choice of the relays of development – a choice more directed towards cosmetic and the automobile market, an opening on the world market. The group RDH is at present an actor of size regarding conception of industrial springs. We appear even among the reference actors, due to the added value which we bring, the quality of the councils and the accompaniments offered to the customers, the fact that we show ourselves very fastidious in the initiatives which we undertake.
RHD is proud of its reputation as a leading spring steel supplier. This hard-won reputation comes from the company’s meticulous attention to detail, which is evidenced in the way they approach each client project. RHD technical and marketing manages will meet with the client to ensure that they completely understand his requirements in both the technical and commercial spheres. They will together agree a technical specification, which will include all relevant details, such as the grade of steel to be used in manufacture of the springs, their compression characteristics and relaxation constraints. Once this has been reviewed and agreed, the production process begins.
RHD’s production techniques have been honed over many decades as a spring steel supplier. The plant is computer managed, which means that the client can instantly see the progress of his project. It also means that every raw material and component can be traced back to its origins. One of RHD’s largest market sectors is the automotive industry and the company has adopted the production techniques it has learned there to create an efficient production line that seamlessly moves raw materials through to the end product. The facility also enjoys a clean room, where robotic cleaners remove all dust and bacteria and the temperature, humidity and pressure are all carefully controlled.
RHD is proud of its reputation as a key spring steel supplier but the company endeavours to bring even more to the table. It has adopted a partnership approach to its business relationships with clients in order to offer a more informed and complete service and to gain a better understanding of the client’s business priorities. By doing so, it can align its services to those needs and create products that exactly match the client’s requirements.
Lighters, industrial machines, robots, watches, shock absorbers, bottles of perfume, appear on the list of goods whose efficient functioning involves one or several small springs. Springs play a critical yet often ignored role in a very large amount of common objects. Because of exposure to multiple kinds of stresses and small dimension, producing springs requires strict compliance with very high quality standards. For cutting-edge sectors, among which pharmaceutical, high-tech industries, automotive, and other cutting-edge sectors, it is of the utmost importance that the springs incorporated in their products are of the best quality.
